The Person You'll Actually Be Talking To
Navigating Though Life LLC is a small, one-on-one counseling practice — which means when you call or email, you are not going through a front desk, a call center, or a list of extensions. You reach the coach. That's deliberate. The work I do depends on knowing who you are and what you're carrying, and that's hard to build if you're handed off between people.
I'd rather tell you how I work than hand you a list of adjectives. I listen first, and for longer than most people expect. I don't come into a conversation with a plan already written for you, because I don't know yet what you need. A lot of people arrive apologizing — for being emotional, for not having it figured out, for taking up time. None of that is necessary here. You get to show up exactly as you are on the day you show up.
What a Session With Me Looks Like
Sessions are conversations, not lectures. There's no script you have to follow and no right way to do it. Some people come in with something very specific they want to sort out. Others come in knowing only that something feels stuck and they're tired of carrying it alone. Both are fine starting points.
Practically speaking, here's what you can expect from working with me:
- We start where you are. No intake interrogation, no pressure to tell the whole story in the first ten minutes.
- You set the pace. If a subject is too raw to open today, we leave it closed and come back when you're ready.
- We talk about the real stuff. Not just the problem, but what it's costing you and what you actually want your days to look like.
- You leave with something to hold onto. Usually that's a next step small enough that you'll actually take it.
- Nothing you say travels. What's said in our conversations stays in our conversations.
The People Who Usually Reach Out
Most people who find me are standing at some kind of edge. A loss they can't talk about at home anymore because everyone else has moved on. A change they didn't choose. A season where the life they built stopped fitting and they can't name why. Some are searching for a life coach grief support and aren't entirely sure what that would even look like in practice — they just know the ordinary advice isn't reaching them.
I want to be clear about what this is. Counseling is forward-facing work: making sense of where you are, deciding what you want next, and building the steps to get there with someone in your corner. It isn't medical or clinical treatment, and I'll say so plainly if I think what you need sits outside what counseling can give you. You deserve honesty about that more than you deserve a new client intake form.
Reaching Me, and What Happens Next
The first step is deliberately small: one conversation, so you can hear how I work and I can hear what you're dealing with. You decide after that. Nobody gets signed up for a package during a first phone call.
